MUSIC         ART        WORKSHOPS

We are happy to include music and art as part of the Finger Lakes Health Fair and believe that our creative expression and the joy that is awakened through music and art are integral to our health and well-being.  Both music and art have the power to heal and to inspire movement of our bodies, our brains, and our emotions.  We welcome you to take it in and allow yourself to experience how it impacts you, what it moves in you, and to simply enjoy it.

10 am:     Edible and Medicinal Herb Walk on the Lakshmi grounds with Debbie Biltonen
We are surrounded everywhere by plants with wondrous and magical properties.  Many are nutritious and able to soothe our ailments; others raise our spirits and connect us deeply with the world around us.  Join Debbie and find out which "weeds" make delicious additions to salads, relieve the pain of a bee sting, or the itch of poison ivy and ameliorate seasonal allergies.  And that’s just for starters.  She’ll share her favorite herbal remedies, many that have been used for centuries and are literally right outside our front doors and she’ll then take folks on a plant walk around the land.  Meet at the Pavilion

Have you been feeling called to step more fully into your Goddess Self? Are you longing to feel more connected? To embody feminine principles of deep, transcendent love, trusted intuition, compassion for self and others, connection to wisdom and source? Joy? Do you love to dance? Willing to try? Join us for Qoya! Qoya is so much more than a dance class. It is an exploration of the sacred based on the idea that through movement we remember. We remember our essence as women is wise, wild, and free! We come together in a non-judgemental space to create community, empower ourselves physically, clarify our intentions, and dance with our desires. No experience necessary. All who identify as women are welcome.

3 pm:     Human Tuning & Sound with Jeff Gregory
In this presentation we will be using dowsing and muscle testing (kinesiology) to find beneficial and non-beneficial energies and their location for the human body. We will be testing and dowsing the following: earthing, geopathic stress, light and sound using the mind. Sometimes we have missing musical notes in the body which can lead to detrimental effects. In a simple 5 minute test, Jeff can now check the body by doing a voice analysis and find the missing notes. Missing notes relate to certain symptoms and parts of the body. By restoring the missing frequencies it brings harmony back into the body. Jeff also uses vibroacoustic therapy in which one lays on a vibroacoustic table and playing the missing notes will help restore them in the body. It feels wonderful, like a gentile massage, leaving you relaxed and refreshed. Both the voice analysis and vibroacoustic therapy have been in use for over 20 years! Jeff will also be talking about PandoraStar light journeys and cold laser therapies to improve your health.

4 pm:     Moving in Nature with Julie Nathanielsz

Enjoy an enriched recognition of our selves as part of nature, an enlivened connection to place, and a sharpening of skills in tuning to what is present. In this session, our attitude in the body is much like the self-observation-in-relaxation of seated meditation. Based on life-long experience in a diversity of allied practices - yoga, contemporary dance, dance movement therapy, visual art & performance - Julie Nathanielsz

In the Tent:
